This is the new mental health matters mural that has been painted, on the International Wall on the Falls Road. More than 3,600 people were killed in the troubles in Northern Ireland, and many thousands were injured. It was an awful time to live through.
The Peace Agreement known as the Good Friday Peace Process was signed in 1998 and it is a million times better today as the troubles have ended.
Our troubles today is mental health. We have lost 5000 people due to mental health, which is more than the people that were killed during the troubles in Northern Ireland. It is crazy to think that thousands of people are suffering from mental health. This mural was painted to let people know that there is help out there. Please don’t suffer alone, there is always someone to talk to.
